I am affable and like almost everybody, but shy. I distrust my social skills. I take criticism pretty well. Self-improvement has been a motif in my life since childhood – now in weight training and cardio exercise. I am 91 and have had a wide variety of life experience and professional work as a Montessorian, film editor, actor and dancer on Broadway, puppeteer, stage manager, artisan, and designer - I own a patent in hammock design. I spent five years as a communard at Twin Oaks Community. My politics are left-leaning, towards cooperation and kindness, rejecting competition except in sports. My sexuality is ninety percent Heterogenous - and needful over the last several years. I enjoy creative activities and study piano. make paintings and stream symphonies to television. I pay good attention to physical well-being. I walk for an hour and a half every other day and do weight training on the days between.
For me, the complete self includes spirituality. I follow the theories of Gurgief and Ouspensky, and I've found my spiritual path through meditation and dervish turning. I believe that anyone who seeks a spiritual life can find it. It is not a distant goal, but something close at hand, waiting to be discovered.
